Hawthorn Hall is home to the Engineering Learning Community. Residents of Hawthorn enjoy being a part of a close-knit community focused on academic success in engineering and related math and science fields. Suites in Hawthorn Hall have two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room for four residents. Hawthorn also features study and community lounges, laundry, vending and kitchen facilities in the basement.
In addition, Hawthorn Hall is home to The Creativity Lab, a Makerspace for engineering learning community members. The Creativity Lab features a large workstation, 3D printers, laser cutter, drills, soldering gun, dremels and a variety of hand tools as well as robotics supplies, including arduinos, Raspberry Pi, Nanos, motors and sensors.
