The intern housing application for summer 2026 will open on February 1, 2026.

Intern Housing Details

UNC Charlotte offers safe, affordable, and convenient summer housing for college and university students completing internships in the Charlotte area. Intern Housing is available from Sunday, May 17 – Saturday, August 1, 2026. Please note that no housing is available after Saturday, August 1.

Housing will open in two buildings on a staggered schedule: Martin Hall opens Sunday, May 17, and Miltimore Hall opens Sunday, May 24.

Rates: 

  • 4-person/4-bedroom Apartments in Martin and Miltimore Halls – $35.00 per person, per contracted night*

  • 2-person/2-bedroom Suites in Miltimore Hall – $33.00 per person, per contracted night*

*Special rates are available for external companies and UNC Charlotte departments interested in becoming Sponsored Partners and coordinating direct payment for their interns. For details, please contact hrlconferences@charlotte.edu

Payment is due in full by Friday, May 1, 2026.

Building Details

2026 Summer Intern Housing will be located in Martin Hall and Miltimore Hall. Available options include:

  • Martin Hall 4-person/4-bedroom apartments. This style includes:
    • 2 bathrooms, with 2 interns sharing each bathroom.
    • Private, in-unit kitchen with full sized appliances.
    • Furnished living room.
  • Miltimore Hall 4-person/4-bedroom apartments. This style includes:
    • 2 bathrooms, with 2 interns sharing each bathroom.
    • Private, in-unit kitchen with full sized appliances.
    • Furnished living room.
  • Miltimore Hall 2-person/2-bedroom suites. This style includes:
    • 1 bathroom shared by 2 interns.
    • Access to community kitchens on each floor.
    • Furnished living room.

All bedrooms are furnished with a desk and chair, small dresser, closet, and a twin XL (36” x 80”) bed on an adjustable frame. At the bed’s highest setting, the top of the mattress sits 42.5” off the floor.

Additional features include:

  • Free laundry in each building.
  • Air-conditioned buildings with in-unit control.
  • WiFi, internet, cable. 

Interns should plan to bring their own cookware, utensils, TV, bedding, toiletries, etc.
