Important information included in the Spring Move-In Guide:

  • Move-In Dates/Times. Move in for new residents joining us for Spring 2025 is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 from 1 to 5 p.m. each day
    • Late arrivals. If you are moving in after the established move in period of Jan. 10-11, you should reach out to your hall’s REC to share your late arrival and anticipated arrival date to avoid cancellation. After Saturday, Jan. 11, you will be able to pick up your key each day from noon to 11 p.m. at your assigned hall. Please note that at some points within this time, a staff member may not be at the desk and you will need to call for assistance as directed by the signage in the hall.
  • Driving and Parking Directions. Spring residents will check in at their assigned halls' front desk. Review your hall’s driving and parking directions here
  • Move-In Tips. Find tips to make your move-in day as smooth as possible here.
  • Packing List. We've compiled a list of what you should bring to campus and what you should leave at home here
  • Upload your ID photo and set up your 49er Mobile ID. In order to access the residence hall, residents need to set up their 49er Mobile ID. Set up your mobile UNC Charlotte ID at least 1 business day before your arrival. If you haven’t yet, please follow the instructions here
  • Appliance Rental and Dormify. Residents can rent select appliances including micro-fridge and mini fridge/freezer units eliminating the hassle of transporting and carrying your own unit from home. Dormify is a convenient and simple solution to all of your college bedding/decorating needs. Details about each program can be found here.
  • Renters Insurance. Students wishing to protect their belongings from the possibility of loss should obtain appropriate insurance coverage. Some residents may be covered under their parents' existing homeowner's or renter's policy. Check with your personal insurance company for more information.
