Fall 2023 Housing Availability Update

Fall 2023 Housing Availability

Living on campus at UNC Charlotte is very popular and demand is high. This means we are likely to have more students interested in living on campus than we have space to accommodate them. To support the success of incoming students, we will prioritize applications from entering first time in college (FTIC) students, new transfer and international students, and then continuing students as available space allows.

In addition, assignments are made according to a combination of factors including space availability, date of completed application, roommate requests and building/room preferences. Please keep in mind that preferences are NOT guarantees but are used for placement when requested space is available.

If you know you want to live on campus, please apply earlyA $100 non-refundable housing application fee is required and does not guarantee a housing assignment.

We begin making assignments for fall in February.

Off-Campus Housing

While we believe that living on campus offers the best possible start for a college student’s journey, we recognize students are faced with tough decisions about where to live based on individual needs and preferences. You are free to explore off-campus housing options. If you are unsure where to begin, we recommend starting your search with our Niner Choice Program.
