What do you love most about being a Niner?

What I love most about being a Niner is the strong sense of community and the countless opportunities for growth, especially as a Computer Science student. UNC Charlotte provides an innovative learning environment with hands-on experiences, cutting-edge research, and industry connections that help prepare me for a successful career in tech. The diverse and inclusive campus fosters collaboration with people from all backgrounds, creating a supportive network of peers and mentors. Plus, being in Charlotte—a major tech hub—opens doors to internships, networking, and career opportunities that make the Niner experience even more rewarding.

What made you want to be a Housing Ambassador?

I had such a positive experience with UNC Charlotte’s on-campus housing that I naturally found myself recommending it to others. When I saw the advertisement for the HA position, I knew it would be a great opportunity to contribute. Since becoming an HA, I’ve built meaningful connections with students and university staff while also developing valuable professional skills like public speaking, problem-solving, and office etiquette.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?

Currently, I am the cofounder and vice president of the digital empowerment club. A member of 49th security division club as well as UNC Charlotte boxing club.

What is the best part about living on campus?

Living on campus made it easy to meet new people, especially as a freshman in a first-year residence hall. I chose to room with someone I already knew from high school, which made the transition even smoother. Being on campus gave me convenient access to classes, the library, and UREC for gym sessions. It also made it much easier to get to boxing and stay active. Plus, attending football and basketball games and other campus events was more convenient, making my college experience even more exciting and engaging.
