As you wrap up the fall semester, we ask that you take a few moments to review the Winter Break Prep Guide. Page 1 includes important information for students returning to the same room in the spring including steps to prepare for room inspections, safety information, dining hours, and how to get assistance over break. Page 2 provides needed information for any resident changing to a new spring space or moving off campus including how to check out and avoid being charged.
Please be sure to pay special attention to the following:
- If you are not returning to the same room in spring, please be sure to fully check out of your space by your designated time:
- Graduating residents: Sunday, Dec. 14 by 9 a.m.
- Non-graduating students without a spring contract: Friday, Dec. 12 by 12 p.m. (please review the Move-Out Guide here for additional information).
- All rooms, including those being occupied over break, will be checked between Dec. 12-14. Residents will need to complete the winter break checklist posted on their door prior to Friday, Dec. 12 to ensure they are not charged for trash removal or needed cleaning.
- In addition to emptying your personal refrigerator (either apartment or mini-fridge), be sure to remove any items stored in your community kitchen and refrigerator by Friday, Dec. 12 to prevent these from being thrown away. If you need to continue to use the community fridge past this time, please reach out to your REC by Wednesday, Dec. 10 to coordinate.
