Winter Break Prep

You can leave your belongings in your current space over winter break. If you are leaving campus for winter break, you are encouraged to pack up your belongings before departing to make your move easier.

Move-In Arrival Date/Time Selection

Phase XVI move-in will take place on Friday, Jan. 5 and Saturday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m each day. 

You will be able to select a move-in arrival date and time via the Online Housing System, beginning on Monday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. When you log into the Online Housing System, click on the "Move-In Arrival Time" link. If you try to log in prior to Monday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m, you will receive an error message. Once you select your move-in arrival time, you will receive an automated confirmation email. Please save your confirmation email so you have it for reference later. 

If you are unable to move in on Jan. 5 or 6, you will still be able to check in at Phase XVI as a late arrival between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 through Tuesday, Jan. 9.

Move-In Assistance

Move-in assistance will be available via appointment on Friday, Jan. 5 and Saturday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you would like to request a move-in assistance appointment, you will need to email HRL Facilities at hrlfacilities@charlotte.edu by 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3. You will receive a follow-up email with instructions on how to be prepared for your move-in assistance appointment on Jan. 4.

Driving/Parking Instructions

Residents should check-in at the Phase XVI front desk to receive your keys and other important information. We ask that guests wait in their vehicle while their resident checks in.

Phase XVI residents will be permitted to move your vehicle with your belongings to Lot 8A. You will have 15 minutes to unload your vehicle. Please move quickly in order for others to unload. Move your vehicle back to the South Village Parking Deck. Trucks/Trailers are required to pull into Lot 8 to unload.
