What do you love most about being a Niner?
Well I love the campus because of how beautiful it is. For example I find the trails I go on to be very nice and relaxing. They also allow me to clear my head and to escape from the world. Also they are unpredictable sometimes so you don’t know where you are going to end up which is cool and fun and I love how close it is to home. Being that growing up I was always sheltered. I felt like being two hours away was just enough distance. It also allowed me to become more independent and free.
What made you want to be a Housing Ambassador?
The opportunity fell into my lap by Kristy DeSantis and I was excited to be a part of this role. It was also perfect because I knew I wanted to work in the fall and spring too.
What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I was involved in the UTOP program. Which is the university transition opportunities program. This program gave incoming freshmen the opportunity to get a head start on school. You lived on campus for six weeks taking classes, doing fun activities, and creating bonds/ lifelong friends. I was also apart of a club called locked with Jesus which helped my relationship with God
What is the best part about living on campus?
It was convenient to my classes so most of the time I wasn’t late but it helped getting there a lot quicker. It allowed me to build relationships. But in general living on campus helped me grow up and become the person that I am today.
