Why did you choose to be an RA and what has been the most fulfilling part of your experience?

Because I wanted to gain leadership experience through the role and interact with more people. The most rewarding aspect for me is running hall events and connecting with residents.

How do you manage your academics, leadership roles, and extracurriculars with your Resident Advisor job?

Calendars and a set schedule are what help me most as well as time management skills. Overall I think the RA role is a lot of work, especially training, but definitely manageable.

How has the Resident Advisor role developed you personally and professionally?

I think it has helped me a lot in my leadership and social skills as well as made me a more understanding person. In addition, I feel the role has pushed me out of my comfort zone a lot and helped me develop as a person as a result.
