What do you love most about being a Niner?

What I love the most about being a Niner is the sense of community and opportunity on campus. UNCC has given me a space to grow as a student, a leader and an individual. I’ve met people from all kinds of backgrounds and that diversity makes me proud to be a part of this university in turn being a patriotic Niner.

What made you want to be a Housing Ambassador?

I wanted to be a Housing Ambassador because I really enjoy helping others and creating a welcoming environment. Living on campus is such a massive part of my own college experience and I wanted to share that with new students and families. I also saw the experience as an opportunity to strengthen my leadership skills, communication skills and team work skills and so far, I have been successful in improving them all.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?

I am involved in several organizations on campus including the Black Law Society where I serve as the Publicist, Senator at Large for Upperclassmen in the Student Government Association, Outreach Coordinator for The Greater Good, an active member of Collegiate 100, Leadership Fellows and last but not least I have my own podcast called “Life In Influx”.

What is the best part about living on campus?

The best part about living on campus is the “Double C’s” as I like to call them. “Convience and Community”. With the level of involvement I have in organizations and leadership roles, being on campus allows me to balance my academic, professional and extracurricular commitments more effectively. Everything I need, dining, class, the library etc is within reach, which makes it easier to stay engaged and contribute to campus life. Living on campus truly supports my ability to remain active and connected.
