UNC Charlotte is committed to providing a variety of educational opportunities that will contribute to the academic success of our students. There are many residentially-based programs that are available to entering freshmen who live on campus.
These programs require a separate application in addition to the housing application and deposit. For residential programs, students are assigned to the appropriate building when the college or department sponsoring the Learning Community notifies Housing and Residence Life of the student's acceptance into the program. Sponsors work closely with Housing and Residence Life to coordinate specific roommate assignments. Roommates must belong to the same Learning Community.
To view a complete list of programs, to complete the Learning Community Application, or for more information, visit the Learning Community website.
After their freshman year, participants will use the room selection process to choose a room in a building other than those designated as freshmen-only, learning community only or those with other occupancy restrictions.
