Why did you choose to be an RA and what has been the most fulfilling part of your experience?

I chose to be an RA because I wanted to be more involved with the peers in my community. The most fulfilling part of being an RA is to see the students you advise in your hall succeed and meet their goals!

How do you manage your academics, leadership roles, and extracurriculars with your Resident Advisor job?

Being a Resident Advisor can be time-consuming, however staying on top of your scheduling can make it easy to navigate everything. I utilize a Google Calendar and make sure it stays up to date so I know where I have room to get things done. The RA role is also very flexible in that we schedule a lot of things ourselves so I'm able to make everything fit in my schedule and if I need help I can reach out to my co-RA's.

How has the Resident Advisor role developed you personally and professionally?

The Resident Advisor role has improved my ability to work in a team and has given me many opportunities to communicate and provide leadership to my peers.
