What do you love most about being a Niner?
I have always appreciated the diversity that UNC Charlotte holds. I aim to be a well-rounded individual, and through being exposed to various cultures and practices, I have grown significantly during my time at Charlotte. It is because of this that I am proud to say I am a niner.
What made you want to be a Housing Ambassador?
Having lived on campus for the majority of my college career, I appreciated the fact that living on campus allowed me to make a home away from home. With that, I wanted to find a job that would allow students to feel more welcome and would lead them to find their community. Becoming a Housing Ambassador has allowed me to do so.
What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I am currently the secretary for the Black Organization Alliance Board, the engagement strategist for the Association of Black Entrepreneurs and Creators, and a member of Reproductive Justice. I have also held previous positions in the following organizations: the vice president of Souls Speak, the historian for Machiah’s House, and a program coordinator for the Campus Activities Board.
What is the best part about living on campus?
As I stated earlier, I was able to create a community of my own by living on campus, so I would say that is one of the best parts about living on campus.
