What do you love most about being a Niner?

I genuinely love being proud of the school I attend—there’s something special about getting involved and stepping into leadership roles that support both prospective and current students. It’s super rewarding to help guide people through their journey here. And honestly, campus life is never boring. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a fun event or a spontaneous hangout.

Even in the little things—like becoming birthday twins and besties with Tonya from Holshouser Hall’s housing staff. But what really makes this place stand out is the diversity and inclusion woven into everything we do. It feels good to be part of a space that celebrates and supports everyone.

What made you want to be a Housing Ambassador?

What inspired me to become a Housing Ambassador is the opportunity to help prospective students and their families feel confident and informed when making the important decision to attend UNC Charlotte—and to feel at home living on campus. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, answering their questions, and helping ease any concerns they might have. It’s a role I naturally gravitate toward, as I’ve seen through my experience as an orientation counselor and now as a returning Housing Ambassador. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue this path as a 2025 Forty-Niner Intensive Transition (FIT) Hispanic and Latinx Peer Mentor. Supporting others through transitional moments is something I’m truly passionate about.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?

Previously I was involved on campus being a 2024 Orientation Counselor and the front desk information specialist at Cone and the Student Union! I am currently a part of the Latin American Student Association (LASO), LatinX Student Union (LXSU), and the Hispanic College Awareness Program (HCAP). Additionally, I serve as the new Membership Chair for the Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated for the 2025-2026 academic year. I am also currently going to be a peer mentor for the FIT-HLX program for this upcoming August!

What is the best part about living on campus?

I feel like the best part about living on campus is the convenience, for example if I wanna attend an event I really do not have to worry about parking, and can just walk to the location.
