What do you love most about being a Niner?
I love the community of people that you can find while being a Niner. Our community is so diverse, and so many cultures are represented on campus that you discover something new every day. There is always something to do on campus and in the Charlotte area, whether you're by yourself or with a group of people. I also love how our campus looks. It’s got great landscaping, and it’s always fun to see the seasons change.
I wanted to be a Housing Ambassador because I wanted to help students who live on campus and share my love of living on campus with prospective students, as well. I also want to share our housing options with anybody who’ll listen. We have such a great variety of options, both residence hall-wise and room style-wise, as well. Something I want to do while in this role is make an impact on students and help them find their best housing fit.
What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
Aside from being a Housing Ambassador, I am a part of a K-pop dance group on campus called Fine9. I am also a sister of Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., we are an Asian-Intrest, but not Asian-Exclusive sorority, and I serve as the performance chair.
What is the best part about living on campus?
The best part of living on campus is how close you are to everything: classes, food, friends, all of it. Living on campus freshman year allowed me to meet people in classes, clubs, and in my residence hall, as well. Being on campus was also very convenient as I was only, at most, 15 minutes away from any of my classes or club meetings. Living on campus makes me feel more involved and connected to our community.
