Move-In Crew Fall 2026

Are you as excited about move-in as we are? Take part in our favorite tradition and help Housing and Residence Life welcome Niner Nation to campus August 12-15 in three locations across campus! 

Why join us? The mission of the Move-in Crew is to welcome new Niners and help families get students’ belongings from drop-off areas to their rooms. Shifts last for two hours, and allow you to:

  • Network with Niners: Meet our newest students and their families before classes even begin
  • Teamwork: Bring your student organization or staff team for a fun, active day of service
  • Show Your Spirit: Represent your group, share your experiences, and show off your Niner Pride

We are looking for excited and willing students, faculty, and staff to help us create the most welcoming environment possible. Let’s make this the best move-in yet!

Student Orgs Sign Up & Point of Contact
Are you the leader of a student org? Each organization participating in Move-in Crew must have ONE REPRESENTATIVE to serve as the point of contact. Expectations for the point of contact are outlined here. As the representative for your organization, please indicate you are the point of contact during the sign-up process.

Move-in Crew Sign-Up Instructions

Students

  1. Login to the Online Housing System using your NinerNET credentials
  2. Select the "Move-In Crew" link at the bottom of the "Quick Links" section at the bottom of the page

Signing up for Move-in Crew is quick and easy, and should only take about 2 minutes to complete. Shifts are 2 hours long and while there is no minimum amount of shifts required, we encourage students to consider signing up for at least 2 shifts.

As a thank you for your help, Move-in Crew volunteers who live on campus and complete their shifts will be able to move in early on August 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at no additional charge.

The deadline to sign up is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 1. Please note that incoming freshmen are unable to participate.
