Why did you choose to be an RA or DA and what has been the most fulfilling part of your experience?

I chose to be an RA because I wanted to help create a safe, welcoming community where residents feel comfortable and supported. The most fulfilling part has been seeing the impact of small moments. Whether it’s helping someone through a challenge, resolving a conflict, or watching residents grow and connect with each other.

How do you manage your academics, leadership roles, and extracurriculars with your RA or DA job?

I manage my academics, leadership roles, and extracurriculars alongside my RA job by being intentional with my time. I rely on tools like calendars and phone alarms to stay organized, plan ahead, and make sure I balance responsibilities effectively.

How has the RA or DA role developed you personally and professionally?

Personally by teaching me patience, empathy, and better communication. Professionally, it’s strengthened my leadership, organization, and conflict-resolution skills
