I became an RA because I felt called to serve others and help build a strong, supportive community. The role has taught me that leadership is not about having every answer, but about being present, listening well, and creating space for people to feel seen. The most meaningful part has been walking alongside residents in different seasons, whether they are struggling, adjusting, or growing, and seeing how much consistency and intentional conversation can change someone's experience. I try to be one percent better than I was the day before, and this job gives me somewhere to practice that daily.
