I became an RA because college is a big transition and I wanted to be someone residents could come to for support, guidance, or just a conversation. The relationships have been the most fulfilling part; even small moments like checking in with someone can make a real difference in how included they feel. The role has made me more patient, a better listener, and calmer in serious conversations, all of which I will carry into a healthcare career. Staying organized, breaking tasks into smaller steps, and communicating early when conflicts come up is how I keep everything running.
